“ I only go to Cod Scallops for the lunch time deal when it makes cod scallops affordable. For 10 you get Fish, Chips and mushy peas with tartar sauce and a cup of tea. They have the nicest red sauce in the world - so nice I brought some to have at home ! Staff are always great and happy ”
“ Food was absolutely delicious, I had a few of the small plates and the calamari was particularly lovely. We went for my son's birthday, the staff were super helpful with the cake, the kids pack they give is by far the best one we've ever had from a restaurant. Couldn't have asked for a better evening. ”
“ The Cod's Scallops Fine Fish & Chips certainly lives up to it's name. Great haddock, chips and mushy peas washed down with a lovely strong cup of tea. Friendly professional staff and a nice chilled atmosphere. Some of the finest I have tasted. 5 star. ”
“ First-time visit, food and drinks were excellent, bit expensive but I suppose your paying to sit in..definitely will be back. ”
“ We met for an annual get together, 8 of us in all, we had the lunch time specials. My granddaughter had the chicken nuggets, I have to say she enjoyed them and to see they were made of chicken breast rather than that blended stuff like McDonald's. Lovely staff and lovely service. ”
“ Delicious dinner, we had the cod and chips each and the fish was lovely and flakey, without being greasy and the batter was crisp. The chips were perfect, not too thin, not too thick, and the curry sauce was incredible. We found it hilarious that the battered black pudding was on the 'light bites' menu, but overall a great experience. ”
“ I came in around 2:30pm to order a quick lunch before the doctors and before work I ordered the lunch time special a hot drink tea or coffee with mini fish chips and mushy peas with a side of tar tar sauce. Not a fan of tar tar sauce but you have to try when it's given to you it was okay, the chips were soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside that's with salt and vinegar on them with a little lemon juice fallen on top from the fish, the fish as well had a crunchy batter but very flakey inside very delicious one of the best mini fish I have tried, the peas were good standered chippy peas can't go wrong and for the price of 10 it's a bargain cooked to perfection and service with a smile, would definitely go again. ”
“ Chips were amazing. Fish was very fresh and batter crispy. Did not experience any sogginess like others have suggested. The waiters were very friendly. We are in the restaurant, It is more expensive than a takeaway chippy, but I thought it was worth it. ”
